Legendary actress Shoki Mmola, who bowed out of Skeem Saam as Celia Kunutu in July 2022 has joined Scandal! as Reverend Prudence Molepo.

SCANDAL!': INSIDE SHOKI MMOLA'S LATEST ROLE Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela has revealed that the popular actress Shoki Mmola, who is famously known for playing Celia Kunutu in Skeem Saam has landed the role of Reverend Prudence Molepo in e.tv's most-watched soapie Scandal!.

Entertainment blogger Mlu added that Mmola's character comes in as Vuvu's (Mamarumo Marokane) mother. She holds Vuvu and Nhlamulo's kids close to her heart , reported the blogger.

The Scandal! February TVSA teasers indicate that viewers might start seeing her on Friday, 24 February as the teaser reads: Prudence learns of an interesting development in her daughter's life.

HER SKEEM SAAM' EXIT The educational soapie Skeem Saam confirmed in a statement that the Scandal! actress Shoki Mmola, who played the fan-favourite role Celia Kunutu exited the show.

Boasting a whopping 26 years in her television career, Mmola has been playing the character of Celia' on Skeem Sam for ten years and in that role has been one of the show's lead actresses, contributing to its accomplishments over the past decade. Always keeping fans entertained, Mmola has portrayed the character of Celia impeccably. We wish her well and all the best with her future ventures. Mmola will not be featured in the new season starting Monday 4 July 2022.

Mmola also confirmed her resignation on social media saying it was time for a change and thanked her fans for supporting her.

As I bow out of Skeem Saam, I bow even lower to everyone that has supported my work over the 28 years of industry and 10 years of Skeem Saam. Her to telling more stories.

The actress told Drum Magazine in an interview that she is already working on a new production.

I can't reveal much as yet, but I am an open book. I will share the news with everyone when the time is right. I just wish again to thank everyone who has grown to love my role on Skeem Saama and appreciate the support.
