The Riverside Clinic in London, part of the Healthshare Group, offers a variety of services from diagnostic tests to surgical procedures. When the team at The Riverside Clinic wanted to introduce a new service to support GP referrals for the diagnosis of osteoporosis and provide an additional service supporting some consultants with body fat composition examinations, they assessed what DXA solutions were available, including the new Fujifilm range of FDX Visionary bone densitometry systems.

When we assessed the Fujifilm FDX Visionary DR system, I was really pleased with the ease of use and the defined process to acquire images in a methodical and clear way said Sally Walker, Clinical Assurance Lead at The Riverside Clinic.

The scan time is very quick and the report generated by the machine is very detailed and can be customised to meet the requirements of the service. We found that the specifications were very comparable in regards to scan time and functionality when assessed against other models on the market, but the FDX Visionary DR system was very good value by comparison.

Since installing their new DXA solution, the Riverside team have been able to reduce their patient waiting times, offer patients more flexibility, and have also had interest from other clinicians and specialists regarding the additional benefits of the FDX Visionary DR system in respect of research and body fat composition.

Both offer a range of body composition analysis tools and multiple applications for specialist assessment and diagnosis. The FDX Visionary DR system uses 2D fan-beam technology to perform fast examinations with high image quality. The FDX Visionary A system is a fast pencil-beam DXA system for bone health specialists seeking a cost-effective and powerful solution for evaluating bone structure and assessing fracture risk.
