MultiDyne Acquires MRMC, Expands into Camera Robotics and Motion Control

The deal establishes MultiDyne Robotics and Motion Control, maintaining the well-known MRMC brand.MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems has acquired the assets of MRMC (Mark Roberts Motion Control), bringing the 60-year-old camera robotics and motion control developer's technology, IP, manufacturing capabilities, and engineering talent into the MultiDyne organization under a newly formed subsidiary, MultiDyne Robotics and Motion Control.

As part of the transaction, MultiDyne has established MultiDyne Robotics and Motion Control, a new company that will maintain the well-known MRMC brand. MultiDyne plans to maintain MRMC's operations in the United Kingdom and Neil Maycock, a member of the MultiDyne leadership team, will run MRMC as Managing Director.

For MultiDyne, the move marks a significant expansion from signal transport into image acquisition and creates what the company calls a powerful combination of complementary technologies that extend MultiDyne's reach to the very beginning of the content creation chain.

For six decades, MRMC has been providing camera robotics and motion control solutions that enable precision camera movement, automated tracking, virtual production workflows and cinematic motion control for broadcasters, filmmakers and content creators. Meanwhile, MultiDyne is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades in the broadcast, digital cinema, Pro AV and live production markets.
