Neighbours of Uzalo actor - Siyabonga Radebe - who recently joined the show to play the character of Vikizitha Magwaza say the soapie saved him.

They told the People's Paper that they were worried about him as he was not landing any gigs and was using taxis.

UZALO RESCUED SIYABONGA RADEBE' Siyabonga Radebe's neighbours that he looked broke and moved back home to live with his family before he joined Mzansi's most-watched soapie - Uzalo as Vikizitha Magwaza.

He used to visit us ekasi. We wanted to live his life as he seemed to be doing very well but things changed.

We stopped seeing him on TV and he moved back into the family home.

The actor was also arrested in 2009 for allegedly drinking and crashing into another car that belonged to a Durban resident.

Another neighbour told the publication that he was worried about his mental health.

He would speak to himself and laugh as if he was having a conversation with someone.

We were happy to learn he got a role in Uzalo.

The star informed Daily Sun that he lost his car and was using taxing and that he had an accident that was recorded and circulated on social media.

I had an accident and the videos were all over the internet.

The cops who rescued me helped me a lot.

Radebe denied claims that he's going crazy and stated that he's a writer and sometimes writes songs that he sings on the streets.

PLAYING VIKIZITHA MAGWAZA The seasoned actor joined Uzalo this season to play a thug who is targeting Nkunzi's empire. He premiered on the show three days ago and viewers were elated to see him on their favourite show.

He killed a police officer on his first episode and attempted to kill another and fled the scene before getting caught.
