Prepare annual international movies content budget, Liaise closely with finance, in respect of the presented budgets, to assist them in finalising their budget documents, Manage monthly phasing of international movies content & movie channels operational budgets (I/S, B/S & Cash Flow)
Inform the relevant stakeholders should there be significant variances so they can adjust accordingly
Liaise with Finance as to the reason for the significant variances
Provide Finance with monthly cost centre reallocation journals
Assist Finance with year-end & interim related queries
Instruct the relevant stakeholders of any budgetary changes required by Finance
Ensure that any required budgetary changes are made
SYSTEM & PROCESS IMPLEMENTATION
Assist in the development of the budget module
Assist in the development and implementation of system and process workflows
ANALYSIS
Analyse the effect of the independent movie strategy
Analyse the effect of the acquisition of the U.S. box office movies
Analyse other ad-hoc projects
ADMINISTRATION
Assist in obtaining relevant information for the development of scheduling strategies
Prepare relevant information for movies output deal negotiations
Education & Experience A relevant post graduate degree CA(SA) is essential
5 years prior media experience
Financial management and strategic planning is essential
Strong knowledge of and a passion for movies is essential
Strong finance and administration skills are essential
Advanced computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) is essential
Prior media experience will be an advantage
Knowledge and experience in Synergy will be an advantage
Negotiations experience will be an advantage
Prior experience of presentations will be an advantage
