Joint meeting of RCC Commission took place in Minsk 14.10.2013

On October 9-10, 2013 the 32/7th joint meeting of RCC Commission for telecommunication economy and RCC Commission for Coordination of Communication Regulatory Bodies Activities was held.

Representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, RCC Executive committee participated in the work of the joint meeting as well as their colleagues via videoconferencing from the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Moldova, Kyrgyz Republic and ITU Regional workshop for the CIS countries.

The opening speech was made by: the First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Rak and Deputy Director General of RCC Executive committee Natalya Zorya who wished the members of the joint meeting successful and effective work.

As a part of work of the 32/7th joint meeting of RCC Commission for telecommunication economy and RCC Commission for Coordination of Communication Regulatory Bodies Activities a lot of relevant issues were discussed, such as: rating of the CIS countries in international reports of UNO, WEF and ITU for 2012; practical application of antimonopoly legislation in the CIS countries; preparation of draft Agreement on implementation principles of inter-operator settlements when providing international telecommunication services in the CIS member-states (including roaming); review of the list of generic services, etc. There was also presented information on progress of execution of collaborative approach of the CIS member states in construction and development of the information society and Plan of actions on its implementation for the period by 2015.

After the discussions there were taken relevant decisions.

In the end the members of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the Telecommunication administration of the Republic of Belarus for excellent organization of work of the joint meeting of RCC Commission and warm reception.
