The animation industry adapts to current circumstances Esta industria ha demostrado en esta crisis una capacidad de respuesta que no por esperada ha sido menos llamativa.
Es indudable que uno de los sectores de la sociedad que m s afectado se va a ver por la pandemia de COVID-19 que estamos sufriendo es el mundo de la cultura y el entretenimiento.
As , durante un tiempo todav a indeterminado, eventos como los conciertos de m sica, los diferentes acontecimientos deportivos o los rodajes cinematogr ficos van a tener que adaptarse a nuevos protocolos y exigencias, estando actualmente en una situaci n de casi par lisis y sin un horizonte cierto a corto plazo. Pero dentro de la producci n cultural hay una industria que en esta crisis ha demostrado una capacidad de respuesta que no por esperada ha sido menos llamativa, y ese no es otro que el sector de la animaci n y los efectos visuales.
Nicol s Matji, presidente de Diboos, Federaci n que engloba al 80% de las productoras de animaci n y efectos visuales, destaca que nuestro sector, aunque obviamente se ha visto tambi n afectado por la pandemia, sin duda ha demostrado una fortaleza y una gran capacidad de reacci n y adaptaci n a esta nueva situaci n .
Y es que el mundo de la animaci n cuenta con un importante valor a adido en estos momentos, ya que su adaptaci n a esta nueva situaci n laboral basada en el teletrabajo no ha supuesto mayor inconveniente para una industria innovadora y eminentemente digital, pudi ndose decir que su producci n y rendimiento no ha sufrido merma alguna ni en cantidad, ni por supuesto en la calidad.
Hay que recordar la relevancia que ha adquirido la industria de la animaci n y de los efectos visuales en Espa a, donde siendo solo el 4% del total de las empresas audiovisuales generan el 20% del empleo del sector dando trabajo a cerca de 8.000 profesionales (del cual un 35% es empleo femenino) y creando ininterrumpidamente en los ltimos a os puestos de trabajo cualificados y de gente joven seg n datos recogidos en el Libro Blanco del sector. As mismo hay que resaltar que adem s de su producci n intr nseca, es una industria indispensable para un sector que cada vez va a tener m s importancia en esta nueva situaci n como es el de los contenidos interactivos y digitales.
Si a esta r pida adaptaci n a las circunstancias actuales y a su gran reconocido prestigio internacional (el 70% de la facturaci n de las empresas espa olas dedicadas a la animaci n proviene del exterior) se le a ade los recientemente aprobados nuevos incentivos fiscales en l nea de lo regulado en los pa ses de nuestro entorno y que permitir por fin competir con ellos en igualdad de condiciones, se podr a asegurar que es altamente probable que esta industria sea capaz de atraer todav a en mayor volumen inversi n extranjera, tan importante como casi imprescindible en este escenario econ mico tan complicado al que nos enfrentamos.
Porque a diferencia de otros mbitos de la industria cultural, el mundo de la animaci n tiene que ser puesto en valor no como un sector a mantener, sino como una industria que puede ser parte de la soluci n dada su capacidad de generar riqueza y empleo estable y de calidad y sobre todo sin que signifique un desembolso para las arcas p blicas, circunstancia esencial dadas el horizonte econ mico que se nos presenta.
Pero para ello, desde Diboos defienden que debe ser apoyado desde los poderes p blicos siguiendo la l nea marcada de los anunciados incentivos fiscales, dot ndole de herramientas necesarias como son las ayudas a desarrollo y nuevos formatos, una mayor inversi n en animaci n por parte de las televisiones p blicas, la simplificaci n de los tr mites burocr ticos, establecer un porcentaje m nimo de inversi n en contenido de animaci n en los diferentes canales de televisi n y plataformas digitales, as como una especial sensibilidad hacia la animaci n en la pr xima transposici n de la Directiva Audiovisual Europea. Porque est claro que este ltimo aspecto es indispensable y una gran oportunidad para que la animaci n Made in Spain siga creciendo y vaya un paso m s all , creando potentes marcas globales con denominaci n de origen espa ola.
Confiamos en que el gobierno, las televisiones y las plataformas formen parte de un di logo constructivo sobre estos y otros asuntos que sin duda ser beneficioso para todos se mostr esperanzado Nicolas Matji al ser preguntado sobre este tema.

Desde la Federaci n de la animaci n subrayan que pocos sectores culturales (por no decir ninguno) ofrecen unas perspectivas de crecimiento tan s lidas como la industria de animaci n y los efectos visuales, donde Espa a se ha labrado un prestigio y una reputaci n internacional con xitos tanto en los efectos visuales como en animaci n de la importancia de Wonderpark, Klaus, Tadeo Jones, Bu uel en el laberinto de las tortugas, The Mandalorian, Juego de Tronos, Pocoy , Virtual Hero, Momonsters, Beb s Llorones, etc. muy por encima de lo que ser a de esperar por el peso y volumen de nuestra industria audiovisual.
Aprovechemos la ventaja de tener un sector tan competitivo y reconocido a nivel internacional para dotarle de las armas necesarias para que pueda ser un referente en la creaci n de empleo y de ayuda a la recuperaci n de nuestra industria audiovisual, porque su xito ser el xito de todos, concluyen desde Diboos.
