BBC Studios absorbs at BBC Worldwide Under the same structure, same model and business plan, BBC will draw together the commercial activities already developed by BBC Worldwide, which includes funding of content, sales and commercial channels, and BBC Studios, their main production arm.
At a time of an increasingly competitive and global production and distribution market, this new organizational structure will align to the BBC with the rest of the industry, integrating production, sales and distribution of programs into a single entity. In this way, BBC Studios will absorb the BBC Worldwide division.
Create a business unified with a unique business plan and an operating model combined better located to support the range of creative talents of the United Kingdom, producing content distinctive high-quality United Kingdom at bases around the country, maximize the value of the intellectual property of the programming of BBC and support the creative economy of the United Kingdom through the content distribution British as a cultural export and source of global influence are some of the objectives of this restructuring.
Under the same structure, same model and business plan, BBC bring together commercial activities already carried out by BBC Worldwide, which includes funding of content, sales and commercial channels, and BBC Studios and the main production arm of the British broadcaster.
