SGO has released a massive upgrade Mistika 10, elevating the efficiency of color-based workflows and providing even greater finesse in color-grading processes.
With a brand new color interface being in the core of this revolutionary upgrade, Mistika has started to shed its skin, initiating a new era of Mistika Technology, said Miguel Angel Doncel, CEO at SGO. Mistika 10 offers its users a facilitated way to unlock the exceptional power of our technology, provide them with more control and boost the productivity of the color-based workflows.
The availability and development of color tools in the market has been significantly decreasing over the past few years and many colorists and finishing artists are looking for a differentiating solution that takes color to new levels, adds Geoff Mills, Managing Director at SGO. We have certainly been listening and Mistika 10 both confirms and demonstrates our total commitment to existing users and the many new ones who are looking for alternative solutions and want to join the rapidly growing community of Mistika Boutique and Ultima creatives.
This marks a huge step for SGO, says Jef Grosfeld, co-founder of Pixmix Netherlands and Mistika user. New tools and color GUI deliver even greater image control while still relying on the ever existing, excellent Mistika color science. This release will appeal to even more colorists and finishing artists than ever before and I'm very much looking forward to SGO taking this new direction even further throughout the software The future is looking excellent!
Mistika 10: The Big Reveal
Ideas and inspiration for Mistika 10 came directly from the creative industry and Francisco Ramos Howell, senior colorist and HDR workflow specialist was one of the Mistika Users importantly contributing in this process. It is a tangible result of numerous wishful thinking conversations among users, brainstorming sessions with developers and one to one feedback meetings, shared Ramos Howell and added that this neat and elegant design will allow colorists to create beautiful images with even more subtle control.
When planning the new layout of the Color interface the main goal was to facilitate operativity without discarding any of the existing features nor limiting Mistika's color corrector, described Adrian Gonzalez Diaz, Mistika Expert and UX designer who works closely with the SGO development team defining this substantial upgrade. Once we achieved that, we added new functionalities we believe would bring an extra value, such as scopes integration to primaries and bands, new system in primaries to control offset and contrast with a trackball, quick access in curves and qualifier to add points and choose tones, reorganized RGB curves and so much more!
In this widely anticipated upgrade available for Mistika Boutique and Mistika Ultima, users will also find many other new features and enhancements boosting their overall productivity, such as completely redesigned visual editor, metadata embed for RAW media, embedded scale parameters for all clips, quick access to shapes, new common shape presets for all FX and reorganized menu for histories, among others. To get as many reactions as possible from users and the creative community before the final release, Mistika 10 is currently in Open Beta and available to all Mistika Boutique and Mistika Ultima users in the Download section of their Online SGO Account. This pre-release is also available in the completely free of charge Eval version of Mistika Boutique, so everyone has the opportunity to try it and give their feedback on SGO Forum before making the formal release.
