A team of expert employees will showcase Thales' commitment to supporting women in progressing their careers within the science, technology, engineering and mathematics sectors (STEM).
At present, 23.3 per cent of Thales employees are women - a figure we are determined to increase. Thales in the UK understands that having a diverse workforce is essential for its continued success, which is why we are committed to doing whatever it takes to enable women to excel in their careers and continue to develop a more diverse workforce.
Alice Hardy, Talent Acquisition Partner, said At Thales in the UK, we are committed to helping people grow, develop, and thrive in their careers. Recognising and addressing the barriers many women face to truly excel in their careers is important to us. We offer assistance and flexibility to support womens lifestyles and ambitions, and we cant wait to share more about the roles and opportunities we have available at all levels within Thales.
As well as hosting a stand, the team will be participating in a roundtable discussion and a thought leadership session.
A discussion with our female Engineers uncovering the barriers faced by women when climbing both the technical specialist and technical leadership ladders A number of our Thales experts will host a roundtable discussion, focused on the barriers faced by women when trying to advance in both the technical specialist and technical leadership positions. The experts will draw from their personal experiences and share how Thales has supported them throughout their careers in the STEM sector. The roundtable encourages open dialogue to drive positive change within the industry.
Converting a Triple Minority Complex to A Trifecta Success Model: How to leverage intersectionalities for STEM career and business success - 19th October at 11:00 in the Women in STEM theatre Ifeoma Noelin Okolie, Product Safety Manager and EDI Network Development lead, will deliver a talk focused on her personal journey and share valuable insights on how to leverage intersectionalities for a career in STEM and business success. Thales in the UK understands the importance of having a diverse workforce and aims to increase the number of women both within the company and the engineering sector.
Alice continued, This commitment to diversity is not only the right thing to do but is also essential for Thales continued success towards building a future we can all trust - developing world leading technology solutions, that are both imaginative and sustainable, requires a diverse workforce and women play a fundamental role in shaping this .
