LONDON, 3 October 2013 - Aframe's Upload Partner family welcomed it's latest addition, Timeline TV in Manchester. Video professionals working at MediaCity now have a convenient and simple method of transferring video content to Aframe's cloud platform, where they can quickly and easily review content, share it with colleagues or move it to another location faster than traditional means.
Clients can take their rushes, dailies, original media or post produced content in any format and on any device - cards, drives, DVDs you name it - to Timeline TV North's facility in the Blue Tower and have them ingested directly onto Aframes secure servers. The facility's high-speed data line ensures fast and reliable uploads, saving the client time for more important production tasks.
As the media is ingested, Aframe transcodes the clips into H.264 web proxies and offers a wide complement of other collaboration and distribution services, enabling powerful workflows for greater speed, efficiency, and better productions.
The partnership with Aframe adds cloud technology to Timeline's existing roster of services, including a range of high quality post production facilities.
We use a number of different cloud media storage services, but they're limited in capacity and functionality. That we can quickly transfer rushes with Aframe, while providing a secure backup and allowing the rushes to be viewed and logged, ticks a lot of boxes for us said Eben Clancy, Post-Production Director.
Timeline TV North was the first independent Post Production & Broadcast facility to open its doors at MediaCity UK. It is a well recognised name in UK broadcasting with a solid history of quality editing for post production and live programming. The facility has been designed with creative and technical excellence in mind. The in-house team includes full edit support staff, post producers, live transmission specialists and dubbing mixers. The creative team is supported by Timeline's renowned engineering and technical operations staff.
