The popular actor Hlomla Dandala, who exited The River in October 2022 after playing Lindiwe Dlamini's husband Zweli Dikana for five years returned to the telenovela this week.

HLOMLA DANDALA: RETURNS In the teaser shared by entertainment commentator Jabu McDonald, Zweli Dikana is seen arresting Lindiwe Dlamini-Zwane for murders and attempted murders in The River.

The Thursday, 7 December episode also reveals that Lindiwe's right-hand man, Detective Tshabalala will turn state-witness when he snitches on her to get her jailed.

Viewers of the 1Magic telenovela predict Zweli's return is the end of actress Sindi Dlathu's villainous role as the show has been cancelled and will end in early 2024.

Isibaya actor Siyabonga Thwala joined the show as Lindiwe's second husband Bangizwe Zwane after leading actors Hlomla Dandala, Lawrence Maleka and Tango Ncetezo's departures..
