At booth N3424 at NAB2019 Show in Las Vegas, 8-14 April 2019, Guntermann & Drunck will be presenting visionary KVM products such as their new matrix for KVM-over-IP . The system enables distributed switching of computer signals via standard IP-based networks and thus offers even more flexibility and scalability when implementing KVM installations. KVM systems are the link between IT and broadcast structures and offer cross-system, platform-independent operation and extensive interoperability.

As the new highlight at G&Ds booth, the ControlCenter-IP and the recently released IP extenders form a powerful matrix to transmit KVM-over-IP . The system offers G&Ds customers ground-breaking new possibilities. By using standard network components, IT structures can now be scaled even more flexibly and easily. While the network infrastructure takes over the transport of IP packets, the ControlCenter-IP contributes the logic. Transmission takes place compressed via CAT cabling or optical fiber via standard IP-based networks on layer 3, with a data transmission rate of 1 Gbit/s per line.

On the pulse of time - extending 4K over IP

The new system for KVM-over-IP extends real 4K over IP and ensures pixel-perfect video transmission for DisplayPort 1.2 signals, among others, with ideal hand-eye coordination. Resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz are supported. In addition to solutions for DP 1.2, the company also offers modules for DVI single and dual link as well as DP 1.1 with support for all common resolutions. Thus, users benefit from latency-free and lossless images at the best possible performance.manufacturer will present a suitable application with original broadcast equipment from renowned manufacturers such as Ross Video and BFE. With the help of KVM systems, video servers and broadcast computers can not only be operated remotely, but input devices, mixing consoles, joystick controllers, live cameras and other devices can also be integrated as usual - even when working on remote computers. This way, producers always have the proper equipment at hand and can switch any sources to sinks.

What else to expect at G&D's NAB2019 booth

Another superlative at G&D's booth will be the DP1.2-VisionXG KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz - uncompressed and latency-free. The system transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers and will provide an insight into the use of KVM systems in gaming and e-sports.

Last but not least, the KVM experts will showcase their new RemoteAccess-CPU at their booth in Las Vegas. With this, the manufacturer addresses the increasing virtualization of the broadcast workflow and provides answers to red-hot topics such as professional access to virtualization solutions for cloud editing and remote production. RemoteAccess-CPU will be available by the last quarter of 2019. The new modules can then be used to create hybrid systems with real and virtual infrastructures, making them extremely intuitive to use. Operators simply select the source they need from a standardized overview regardless of whether the computer is stored in the server room or the cloud.
