Bulls Keep News Hopping During Off-Season

It might be the off-season at the Durham Bulls, but the ballpark staff is keeping busy with a variety of projects. Construction on upgrades to the field and more continue, as the Bulls recently made announcements about several newsworthy items.

New Jerseys Revealed

The ballpark isnt the only thing getting a facelift at the Bulls. On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, the Bulls unveiled their redesigned 2014 jerseys on Instagram. Special glimpses of the reimagined uniform tops were labeled with the #BullsReborn tag, which fans can follow leading up to the full unveiling (also on Instagram) of the jerseys on November 25.

A Star Among Us

Will Myers caused quite a stir when he played for the Bulls during the 2013 season, even having a section of the seating named for him. Now, the Baseball Writers' Association of America has named Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Wil Myers the 2013 American League Rookie of the Year. Myers, a High Point, NC native, joins Evan Longoria and Jeremy Hellickson as the third Bulls player to earn the honor during Durham's affiliation with Tampa Bay.

Mini-Plans, The Perfect Holiday Gift

Its time to start your holiday shopping, and the Bulls have the perfect gift for the baseball fans on your list. Mini-plan packages went on sale November 1st. Mini-plan packages provide the best chance to secure tickets for the 2014 Triple-A All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

USA Baseball Friendship Game Coming to DBAP

USA Baseball and the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association announced their Collegiate National Team programs will compete in an international friendship series in the U.S. for the first time since 2008. The 2014 edition will feature five games across at least three locations in North Carolina in July, with the series concluding with two exhibitions at the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park on July 4 and 5. Both contests at the DBAP will feature postgame fireworks.

USA Baseball to Host Chinese Taipei at Durham Bulls Athletic Park

The Durham Bulls open their Governors' Cup title defense at the newly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park on April 3, 2014 versus the Gwinnett Braves. Season Ticket and Mini Plan packages for the 2014 season, which include the ability to secure Triple-A All-Star Game and Home Run Derby tickets, can be purchased by calling 919.956.BULL or visiting durhambulls.com.
