Vizrt powers OTT production for FOX Sports Go app at Daytona 500February 19th 2016
FOX Sports is introducing a new feature for its FOX Sports Go app users during its live broadcast of the renown Daytona 500 on February 21, 2016. The feature, called Driver Channels , allows fans of specific NASCAR drivers to follow their heroes closely on all of the major OTT outlets (iOS, Android and Amazon Fire) and portable devices (computers, tablets and smartphones). Vizrt and Stype drive virtual graphics for Daytona 500February 19th 2016
FOX Sports will add augmented reality (AR) graphics from Vizrt and Stype into its annual NASCAR coverage. These will be in addition to the interactive and data-driven on-air graphics already in place, set to enhance the live broadcast of the 58th running of the Daytona 500 on 21 February 2016. Fans will have seen the iconic Daytona 500 race 57 times before they see the 58th on Sunday Feb. 21, but this will be the first time they'll see it in what NASCAR hopes will become the template for its race venues. At the same time, Fox Sports has prepared an unprecedented accumulation of content - more than 100 hours - to be shown before, during, and after what will be a long weekend leading up to the main event (1 p.m. ET, with live coverage beginning at noon).
