The CBC Sports Radio Mobile Man Cave proved to be a popular tent at Beericana 2017 on Saturday, September 9.
Over 70 breweries, 16 food trucks and 3 bands came together for the fourth annual Beericana Craft Beer and Musica Festival. CBC Sports Radio played a big role for the 2017 event, heading up Sponsorship Sales and having an impressive presence at the festival.
99.9 The Fan Promotions Director Justina Kruser and her team got creative with the CBC Sports Radio tent, to popular result.
In my opinion we had the best tent set-up out there! We created an outdoor Man Cave, she said. We had two couches, four TVs streaming the football games on that day, four end tables, fake plants, fans, etc. It was a big hit! People could walk around enjoying the beer samples, but stop by to have a seat and catch up on their favorite teams football game. It was very cool watching everyones expressions when they saw our tent set-up.
The fun took place on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Suggs Farm in Holly Springs. Breweries across the state of North Carolina, and a few from beyond, brought their best craft beer for attendees to enjoy. Bands provided the perfect musical backdrop for the event.
99.9 The Fan Event Sales Representative Megan Keenan headed up the sponsorships for Beericana 2017, after working closely with the organizers at last years event. 919 Beers Adam Eshbaugh and Wayne Holt, the festival organizers also work with 99.9 The Fan for a weekly 919 Beer podcast with 99.9s Sports Talk Host Joe Ovies.

It was a huge success! said Keenan of the event. The sponsors involved were very pleased. They all were thrilled with the exposure they received leading up to the festival and very happy with the results of the day. Some sponsors used Beericana for branding and name exposure, others used the day to sell their products, and some used it as a lead generator and gathered information from the attendees.
CBC Sports Radio started as a sponsor for the event themselves, and teamed up with 919 Beer for sponsorship sales last year, and took the helm of selling sponsorships this year.
Every single sponsor said to put them on the list for a 2018 sponsorship and to keep them in mind with other onsite events we have in the future, said Keenan. This was the first year that Sports Radio was responsible for selling sponsorships so I am pleased to hear that they want to continue with their partnerships with Beericana as well as to consider all that Sports Radio and CBC has to offer as a whole.
Keenan is excited about the relationship between CBC Sports Radio and this fun festival.
I love what I do for Sports Radio and I love the relationships formed with the people I meet, she said. I cant wait to see what 2018 has in store!
