We have announced, in partnership with SBS, the launch of the 2015 TV pitching competition Kickstart, available exclusively to this year's participants in our Ones To Watch mentoring program. The announcement was made by Marshall Heald, Director, TV & Online Content, SBS, at our Breakfast Briefing at Fox Studios in Sydney.
The Ones To Watch Kickstart pitching competition provides the winner with a budget up to $300,000 to develop their original TV series concept to be aired on SBS 2. The competition, based on the concept originally supported by SBS owned and operated STUDIO Channel, has seen winners develop successful series' such as Lisa Shaunessy's Hipsters which received high ratings and positive reviews when it premiered on SBS 2 in May 2015.
We're delighted that SBS continues to show their support for the industry and nurture emerging talent through our Ones To Watch program, said our CEO, Matthew Deaner. This is a unique opportunity for our creative talent in Australia and in particular, those emerging producers selected and being mentored by experienced and highly regarded producers through Ones To Watch.

The winner of Kickstart will be announced at the 15th annual Screen Producers Australia Awards on Thursday 19 November 2015 at Crown Palladium, Melbourne.
