SAM exhibits at NAB their proposals for entutado IP and repeats in 4K UHD SAM now offers its portfolio of systems of IP routing with 25, 40, 50 and 100GbE interfaces.

The portfolio of IP that routing systems SAM presented at NAB includes a unified system of control and monitoring, gateway IP, IP processing and multiscreen devices. Robert Szabo-Rowe, EVP & General Manager of Live Production and infrastructure in SAM, pointed out that "the results of our IP survey Barometer make us predict that 2017 is going to be a great year for IP, and in SAM we are well positioned to serve the broadcast networks as they make their transition to IP".

The main products of the SAM IP routing system include IP gateway devices; processing IP and multi-screen; and a unified system of monitoring and control.

Gateway IP

The range of gateway IP of SAM provides unique possibilities of switching, redundancy signal flow and timing of IP signals throughout the system for chains of television over IP, providing a seamless integration between the inherited SDI environment and live IP production environment at the same time.

The devices include SAM IQMIX, available in 10GbE cards range, 40GbE, as well as in 25GbE, the industrys latest technology, providing the highest density conversion of SDI to IP. SAM product portfolio also includes the IQAMD card, which offers functionality similar gateway audio conversion from MADI.

In addition, SAM has added native 40GbE IP interfaces to its SDI advanced hybrid processing and production switches family Kahuna matrices Sirius 800. Also, it has set the IP range of compatibility with intermediate compression Kahuna TICO IntoPix.

Processing IP and multiscreen

The family Kudos Pro IP converters from format and frame rate of SAM and its processing IQEDGE platform add processing capabilities in real time, including synchronization of frames, upconversion / descending / crusade, encoding / decoding Dolby and insertion of logos. Advanced audio routing and processing of multiple flows AES67, to the extent necessary for the separation of audio signals, complex workflows, are conducted through Audio SAM XS product.

To complement its portfolio of IP processing, SAM offers its range of Multiviewers IP including the MV-820 IP. MV-820 IP offers 48 inputs and 12 outputs in 3G through 50GbE in a compact 2RU frame network interfaces, providing at the same time monitoring UHD compatibility. In addition, SAM has recently introduced its Multiviewer MV-805 solution software based on a COTS platform, taking advantage of the 100G connectivity.

SAM IP routing system is compatible with different types of signals including ST SMPTE 2022-6 with redundancy ST 2022-7; VSF TR-03 and TR-04, as well as with the intermediate compression VC2 HQ (SMPTE ST 2042) system.

Control and monitoring

SAM has built-in support for IP in Orbit, its current technology control systems. The first applications of Orbit, the new generation of control, configuration and monitoring of SAM solution, will be displayed at NAB. Orbit has been designed to allow users to manage and display all its functions of monitoring, configuration and control through an autonomous system.

LiveTouch

NAB 2017, SAM are showing workflows for live sports repeats in 4 K/UHD that would not have been possible until now. SAM conducts a combined UHD and HD workflows of repetition and faster access to more cameras than any other system of repetitions and best live moves in the market. At the booth of SAM LiveTouch new functions are also displayed.
