RT broadcasts 9 out of top 10 programmes at the weekend

Almost 940,000 tune into watch Ireland's World Cup victory against Scotland

Late Late Show is the highest weekend entertainment programme reaching 859,500 viewers

729,700 saw Dermot Bannon's latest house transformation

RT aired nine out of the top ten programmes last weekend, with the top five programmes each averaging over 300,000 viewers.

Sunday morning saw Irish audiences tune into Irish television in huge numbers, bringing the nation together to witness Ireland's opening game at the Rugby World Cup getting off to a great start by defeating Scotland 27-3. The match averaged 640,000 viewers with a 70% share of the audience choosing RT and reaching an audience of 937,600. The game had 127,426 live streams on RT Player.

An average audience share of 419,200 with a reach of 859,000, tuned in to watch guests including Dublin footballer Dean Rock and his father Barney, Phil Coulter and Freya Ridings join Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show. Phil Coulter explained his reasons for not accepting an OBE and Ryan found himself up close and personal with some unsightly critters during an I'm A Celebrity inspired studio game with Shane Byrne.

An average of 518,000 (43%) viewers watched Dermot Bannon's task of transforming a 1950's two-bedroom house into something spectacular. The programme reached 729,700 viewers as they watched Dermot who had different ideas to owners Yvonne and Adrian as they clashed over pebbledash!

There was a reach of 415,200 who tuned in to see all the drama unfold in Carrigstown last night, in the same week Fair City celebrated its 30th anniversary. An average of 330,000 (28% share) viewers watched Mairead confronted Will and Barry had the opportunity to finally set the record straight!
