StarSat secures live broadcast rights for Bafana Bafana vs Zambia match --

The African Cup of Nations warm up game featuring Bafana Bafana vs Zambia aired Sunday, 4 January 2015 at 15h00 was produced and broadcast live to StarSat viewers (On Digital Medias (ODM) pay-TV platform) on their own sports channel, StarTimes Sport 2 (channel 241). Football fans enjoyed expert match coverage by former SABC commentator Koos Radebe, along with Kaya FM sports presenter and journalist Mosibodi Whitehead. While Zambian sports journalist and TV presenter Ponga Liwewe, will cover pitchside interviews and analysis along with Mosibodi.
Gary Rathbone, StarTimes Head of Sport said, The live broadcast of the match on Sunday is as a result of a valued collaboration between ourselves and Siyaya, the newly licensed media group that recently acquired the exclusive Bafana Bafana broadcast rights for the next five years...
Football is the most watched sport on the African continent and we are delighted to bring the match live to our South African and African viewers. This however is just the start, and we will be making further announcements regarding the acquisition of exclusive football rights shortly, Rathbone concluded.
