Many professional teams spend all offseason coming up with a killer cinematic intro video that their fans will see before their home opener, but the St. Louis Blues reimagined a timeless classic with some help overseas. Leaning on Meet Me in St. Louis, a song made famous by Judy Garland in the 1944 film of the same name, this year's piece was made a reality through 2WEI - a composer team based in Hamburg, Germany - and Cincinnati's 4th Floor Creative - a video-production house known for working with other top-tier professional teams and collegiate programs.
Prior to last week's Opening Night on Tuesday, Oct. 15 vs. the Minnesota Wild, Blue Note Productions' VP and Executive Producer Trevor Nickerson, 4th Floor Creative's Vice President Marc Graham, and 2WEI's Co-Founder and Managing Partner Simon Heeger take you through the origin story of this production, how it embodies the spirit of the city and the NHL franchise, the inspiration behind the building of the record-themed set, how they worked with the crew at the iconic performing arts venue, and more.
