Capitol B Recognized as Wake Tech Foundation January Donor of the Month

CBC's strategic communications agency has been highlighted during the first month of the year for commitment to a community partner. The Wake Tech Foundation selected Capitol B as the organization's Donor of the Month for January 2024.

We at Capitol B are thrilled to support the Wake Tech Foundation, said WRAL Digital Director of Strategic Business Development James Amato. Co-investing in the WakeWorks Apprenticeship program was a no-brainer for us and we are grateful to support this powerful collaboration between Wake Technical Community College, Wake County, and county industry and residents.

The Wake Tech Foundation explained the impetus behind the honor

After $40,000 was raised by various WakeWorks Apprenticeship partners, Capitol B matched these donations by making an in-kind gift toward the program's publicity campaign. By co-investing in this campaign through its CBC Invests program, Capitol B is working with Wake Tech and WakeWorks to build a multi-channel brand and marketing strategy that showcases how the program helps Wake County residents get a foot in the door to education and employment.

Wake Tech and Wake County have partnered to create Works Apprenticeship, a program designed to address a shortage of technical workers in the region while giving students the opportunity to earn an income while learning new skills.

Amato is bullish on growing the collaboration for the good of the Triangle community.

We look forward to adding to our investment! he told CapCom. Programs like WakeWorks are foundational for the economic and social good of the county and region. Students in the Triangle deserve the diverse employment opportunities that local industry provides but much less obvious to the lay person is the ciritical importance Wake Tech plays as connector, collaborator, and facilitator often in the first and last mile of the race.
