RT RETURNS TO THE RDS FOR THE 2024 BT YOUNG SCIENTIST & TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION

RT is delighted to return to the RDS this year for the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition from Wednesday 10th - Saturday 13th of January. With live radio shows, podcasts and performances, competitions, and merchandise to give away, it is set to be a busy and exciting event.

RYAN MACK: Kicking off the exhibition, RT 2FM Rising star Ryan Mack will perform at this year's BTYSTE Opening Ceremony, starting at 2pm on Wednesday 10th January. Following the release of nine new singles, Mack hit over 194 million Spotify streams in 2023 and is set to play tour dates across America, Canada and the UK in 2024.

RT WEATHER - PRESENT THE WEATHER: Whether you dream of presenting the weather or getting behind the camera, here's your chance to put your skills to the test. RT 's Nuala Carey will join the popular RT Weather activity, Present the Weather, which returns to the RT set this year allowing visitors new and old to our stand to try their hand at presenting the weather over three days using the lights, cameras, autocue and weather graphics. Nuala will also be on hand to lend some guidance and meet this year's new talent.

LIVE RADIO & PODCASTS: RT 2FM's Tracy Clifford and Roz and Emma will broadcast their shows live from the RT set on Thursday and Saturday respectively, as will Raidi na Gaeltachta's Bladhaire on Friday. The RT jr podcasts, The Science of Sense and Ecolution will also record episodes live from the RDS on Thursday and Friday respectively.

SELFIE COMPETITION: Competition alert! Come down to take a picture at our 2 Johnnies selfie wall. With a phone to giveaway for the best selfie, get your camera at the ready and post your snaps using #RTEBTYSTE.

AND we will have some RT goodies on hand to giveaway so join us at the RT stand on Thursday 11th, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th.
