Iconic large-format console upgraded

API's iconic Vision console has just been treated to an overhaul that aims to meet the demands of today's professional studios. The Vision expands on the original design with a whole host of new features, and promises to uphold the company's standards for world-class analogue audio gear.

Retaining the core strengths of the original design, the new Vision delivers some substantial upgrades to the input module, centre section, automation system and frame design. It features an all-analogue in-line signal path equipped with two 100mm motorised faders per channel, and is available in 32, 48, 64, 80 or 96-channel frame sizes.

Design highlights include 24 multitrack buses, three stereo buses and one stereo grand master bus, along with 10 aux sends and stereo, LCR and surround panning on every channel. High-pass filters are available on both signal paths, while optional classic API EQs can be fitted on every channel. The console also includes comprehensive centre section control with eight playback selections and three surround monitor outputs with individual solo/mute functions.

API are also offering a selection of customisation options, including an optional Producers Desk with a monitor mount, as well as an Options Bucket pre-wired for 200 Series and/or 500 Series modules, allowing users to perfectly tailor the Vision to their specific requirements.
