The Sheffield Doc/Fest 04 Market Introduction Workshop

TThe Department of Trade and Industry (dti) and The Association for Transformation in Film and Television (ATFT) is inviting you to an export market introduction and readiness workshop on the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2014 in Johannesburg, Durban, East London and Cape Town.

As part of our mandate to up skill our members in financing, distribution,sales and co-production, ATFT will host four workshops in preparation for the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2014 taking place between the 7th - 12th of June 2014 in Sheffield, UK. The workshops are open to any interested parties who are looking to attend next years Sheffield Doc/Fest, but are essential to delegates attending this years market with the ATFT/dti delegation. The workshops will be split into two parts and the days programme will be as follows:

09h00-12h00 : The morning session is an introduction to ATFT and how our delegations work, as well as an introduction to the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2014 and is for anyone who has never attended the festival before. We will also explain the DTI EMIA scheme used to finance the delegations to attend these markets and how to apply through ATFT or as individual companies through the Individual Exhibitor scheme.

12h00-13h00 : Lunch

13h00-16h00 : The afternoon session is an advanced session on international feature film financing, sales, distribution and co-production and on how to make the most of the Sheffield Doc/Fest and attract investment to your project or sell finished films.

16h00-17h00 : Those who wish to stay behind and ask the facilitator any additional or private questions regarding their products or the Sheffield Doc/Fest may do so in this hour, as well as socialise with other workshop attendees.

The Sheffield Doc/Fest 2014 workshops will be facilitated by Andy Jones. Impact Producer Andy Jones has produced films in Africa for networks including BBC, Channel 4 and Al Jazeera. His forthcoming feature documentary I Shot Bi Kidude' will premiere at Durban Film Festival in July. Andy has been creative director of the ScreenStation collective since 2000 and set up RADiO FiLM with Ashley Horner. www.radiofilm.co.uk www.screenstation.net
