Interra Systems Executive Will Present Tutorial on OTT QC and Monitoring at SMPTE17 CUPERTINO, Calif. - July 11, 2017

Interra Systems, a leading global provider of software products and solutions to the digital media industry, today announced that its principal engineer and manager, Ramandeep Sandhu, will present a technical session at the SMPTE17 Conference in Sydney, Australia.

THE NEWS: During the presentation, titled Quality Control & Monitoring in OTT Workflow, Sandhu will explain the benefits of deploying a complete QC and monitoring solution for ingest to delivery of over-the-top services. Attendees will learn how broadcasters can deliver the best Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) in todays complex OTT environment.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 19 from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: SMPTE17 at the International Convention Center, Room B, in Sydney, Australia

WHY: In the OTT world, viewers are watching content when they want, where they want, and on the device they want. Content needs to be streamed as per user requirements, on demand, and as per the resolution of the playing device. This can be challenging, as it requires broadcasters to prepare content and, without any control over the delivery, ensure a high-quality viewing experience.

WHAT: OTT technology is evolving, and the requirements for monitoring are also changing. This speaking session provides Interra Systems with an opportunity to discuss the importance of deploying monitoring tools that are architecturally versatile in order to accommodate the rapid transformations happening in the OTT environment and allow broadcasters to figure out which issues are the most critical. Ultimately, broadcasters should choose an OTT monitoring solution for live and VOD assets that works in tandem with a file-based Quality Control (QC) tool.
