Sundance Institute Announces Lynne Diane Gugenheim as Chief Advancement Officer

Los Angeles, CA - Sundance Institute announced today the appointment of Lynne Diane Gugenheim as Chief Advancement Officer, overseeing all development activities for the Institute's year-round programs for independent artists.

In her new role as part of the Institute's Leadership team, Gugenheim will participate in shaping the Institute's strategy, lead the organization's work sourcing, structuring and stewarding of contributed revenue from foundations, corporations and individuals, as well as all development events, including its annual benefit. She reports to Executive Director Keri Putnam and will work closely with the Board of Trustees including Chair Pat Mitchell and Jacki Zehner, chair of the Development Committee. She will lead a team that includes direct reports: Elizabeth Greenway, Director of Institutional Giving and Development Operations; Rachel Denny, Director of Individual Giving; Mary Sadeghy, Director of Corporate Development; Josie McGuinn, Associate Director of Events.

Zehner said, Lynne joins the Institute with a depth of knowledge built through years of service to artist-centered organizations. At such an urgent and important moment for creative expression, we welcome her expertise and insight into our network of artists and audiences.

Gugenheim began in January and is based in the Institute's Los Angeles office. She was previously Director of Development at the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York, where she led all aspects of contributed revenue for a $60 million annual operating budget, developed strategy and led the implementation of a $50M capital campaign, and helped grow annual contributed revenue by 50 percent. Prior to Roundabout, Gugenheim ran an independent consulting practice for eight years and also worked on staff with the 92nd Street Y, Children's Television Workshop, KCET, and Playwrights Horizons, among several others, gaining a depth of experience in giving at arts and media organizations. She is an Advisory Board Member of the 52nd Street Project in New York and a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Purchase.
