That Station Brings Artist Notes Back for Second Season, Four Thursdays This Fall

That Station is bringing the popular Artist Notes concert series back for the fall! For the next four Thursday nights, That Station Brand Manager & Music Curator Chris Edge will host these part-concert, part-interview evenings on NC State's Centennial Campus.

I'm excited about our second season, said Edge, I think what you get from this experience is very intimate, you're connecting with the artist on a much deeper level. It's like having them over for dinner at your house.

Each night that Artist Notes concert will feature an artist on stage to not only play music, but also share what went into creating their songs.

I think I'm most looking forward to speaking with Dave Wilson from Chatham County Line, said Edge. He and I have spoken before, and he's got a great sense of humor!

Wilson will play the second concert in the series on Oct 19. The fall quartet kicks off with Chip Robinson of The Backsliders on Oct 12. Charly Lowry and Django Haskins of The Old Ceremony round out the series on the final two Thursdays.

The fun will take place on the Centennial Campus of NC State at The Corner, a great outdoor community space.

The events will be free to the public with doors at 5 pm and performance starting at 6 pm. Parking is free, and beach chairs are allowed. There will be food trucks onsite. Beer from Trophy Brewing will also be available and proceeds will benefit The SIMS Foundation, providing mental health and substance abuse treatments to artists, music industry personnel, and their dependent family members.

I also love the fact that you can do some good at this event by buying a beer! said Edge.
