RT Does Comic Relief the t-shirt! Oliver Jeffers designed t-shirt to raise funds for RT Does Comic Relief

Along with assembling amazing comedy from the cream of Irish and international comedy, sport and entertainment, RTE Does Comic Relief is thrilled to announce it is also releasing a beautiful exclusive Oliver Jeffers designed t-shirt.

The t-shirt will be available for a limited period of time online at 20.00 (plus P&P) for the adult ones and 15.00 (plus P&P) of the kids ones, all proceeds after manufacturing and distribution costs will go directly to RTE Does Comic Relief's charity partner The Community Foundation for Ireland.

Commenting on the t-shirt RTE Does Comic Relief's host Deirdre O'Kane said, This t-shirt is simply a thing of beauty, which given it's designed by Oliver Jeffers is no great surprise. It's so, SO timely in it's message and simplicity, and SO Irish too. I don't know anyone who wouldn't want one or who wouldn't wear one, so be smart and order yours now as they won't be around forever .

Also Commenting Oliver Jeffers said, I am delighted to be part of this great endeavor and hope the t-shirt can play it's part helping out those most vulnerable in our society during this troublesome chapter of our lives .

Comic Relief's activities in Ireland have been spearheaded by comedian Deirdre O'Kane, TV producer Darren Smith, Talent Agent Jane Russell, Advertising Exec Patrick Hickey, Accountant Ciaran Medlar and Lawyer David Phelan. This group is working in conjunction with RT , Comic Relief International and the Community Foundation for Ireland (CFI) across all aspects of the campaign. About Oliver Jeffers

Oliver Jeffers is a visual artist and author working in painting, bookmaking, illustration, collage, performance and sculpture. Curiosity and humor are underlying themes throughout Oliver's practice as an artist and storyteller. While investigating the ways the human mind understands its world, his work also functions as comic relief in the face of futility. Jeffers' engagements and practice are truly international in scope. His critically acclaimed picture books have been translated into over forty-five languages, and sold over 12 million copies worldwide. His original artwork has been exhibited at such institutions as the Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, the National Portrait Gallery in London, and the Palais Auersperg in Vienna. Jeffers has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Books Award, Bologna Rigazzi Award, An Irish Book Award, and a United Kingdom Literary Association Award. His seventeenth book as author and illustrator was released in September 2019, and he has illustrated several others. Oliver grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
