Popular character Alfios, who was Charles Kunutu's shop assistant, Katlego Peterson's delivery man turned loan shark, has been written out of Skeem Saam.

WHO KILLS ALFIOS? The TVSA Skeem Saam May teasers reveal that Alfios, the loan shark will get killed in May and exit the soapie after more than five years on the show.

His death will prompt Babeile (Mathews Manamela) to investigate as he suspects there might be a serial killer in Turfloop.

The Monday 8 May teaser reads: A bubbling under loan shark is cautioned by concerned acquaintances but remains steadfast in his approach.

The Monday 15 May teaser reads: Desperate times call for desperate measures for Alfios, and it doesn't end well for him.

The teasers indicate that Alfios will get killed on Tuesday 16 May as the teaser reads: There's another untimely death in Turf.

The Wednesday 17 May teaser reveals that he was murdered as the teaser reads: Babeile is stunned by the postmortem results.

The Friday 19 May teaser confirms actor Tebogo Modisane has left the show as the teaser reads: Babeile will stop at nothing until he finds the killer of Turf's much-loved delivery man.

MORE SKEEM SAAM' DEPARTURES? The actor Tebogo Modisane, who plays Alfios is the second actor to bid farewell to Skeem Saam this season after Dragon, played by Julius Kgole.

The popular character Dragon, who was a loan shark-turned-security officer was shot and killed by Leeto Maputla, played by Eric Macheru in April.

It is unclear if the actor Tebogo Modisane has landed another role after his departure as Alfios in the educational soapie.
