The SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund is in the midst of helping those recently devastated by Hurricane Harvey, and operations are in place to help those facing similar catastrophe as a result of Hurricane Irma. Along with making sure you are aware of the fund as a means of support during difficult times, we also want to make sure that those of you who are out of harm's way know that your donations will make an immediate difference to our goal of helping provide initial financial assistance to victims awaiting other aid.

The impact of this weekend's storm is still very much to be determined, but, regardless of where it lands and what damage it does, those in our industry in harm's way should know that we are here to assist with payments for near-term living arrangements, reimbursement for reasonable living items and clothes not covered by insurance, and more, says Ken Aagaard, chairman, SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund. But, as important, we urge all of those who are out of harm's way in our industry to take a few minutes and donate today. All donations are tax-deductible, and, with 90 of every dollar going directly to help those in need, those who donate can rest assured their money will be put to the best use possible: helping those in need.
