ATTO Technology Receives Enterprise Level Brocade Certification 15 May 2014
ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage, network connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments for more than 25 years, today announced that its Celerity 8Gb and 16Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) have been certified by Brocade as qualified with Brocade-based Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructures, according to testing requirements of the Brocade Data Center Ready certification program.
The Brocade Data Center Ready certification program offers technology providers more robust testing and qualification of their products in Brocade fabric environments. Testing was conducted at the state-of-the-art Brocade Data Center Ready labs, which support end-to-end interoperability and performance testing of SAN products in multi-vendor and large fabric environments. The Brocade Data Center Ready program boasts an impressive group of members participating since its launch in 2000.
Fibre Channel is the primary storage technology that scales from SMB through Enterprise applications, said Wayne Arvidson, vice president of marketing and channels at ATTO Technology, Inc. Brocade's certification of ATTO's 8Gb and 16Gb Fibre Channel HBAs gives their customers the confidence that not only will they have the highest performance, but will benefit from all of ATTO's unique technology, anywhere in their infrastructure.
Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs are designed to cover the full performance spectrum from enterprise to workgroup and server to workstation environments. The highly integrated family of adapters is engineered to optimize data transfer using a combination of exclusive features that enhance the data delivery process. ATTO's Advanced Data Streaming (ADS ) provides extremely low latency for quicker time-to-data and smooth data transfers for higher aggregate bandwidth in data intensive applications. MultiPath Director enables not just servers, but also workstations, direct access to enterprise-class storage, further reducing latency and providing features like load-balancing and fail-over for faster, more reliable access to data.
ATTO's Celerity Gen 5 powered 16Gb Fibre Channel quad channel HBAs, the first of their kind in the market, address the needs of Linux and Windows platforms in high performance computing, virtualization and other high IOP applications typically found in enterprise data centers. Gen 5 Fibre Channel SANs are the purpose-built, data center-proven infrastructures for storage, while delivering unmatched reliability, simplicity and performance.
