Raleigh Magazine Honors WRAL-TV's Gardner as Women Shaping Raleigh 2023

WRAL-TV's Elizabeth Gardner is honored by Raleigh Magazine as one of the Women Shaping Raleigh 2023 at an event at One Glenwood on Monday, March 27.

Raleigh Magazine honored WRAL-TV Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner as one of the Women Shaping Raleigh 2023 at an event on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Gardner received the recognition alongside over two dozen others, all featured in the current issue of the publication. The evening celebration at One Glenwood in Raleigh was the in person way the magazine honored the women chosen.

The event last night was really nice, she said. I was truly honored to be included in this incredible group including Mayor Mary Ann Baldwin, Police Chief Estella Patterson, Dr. Paulette Dillard President and CEO of Shaw University and Maggie Kane, founder of A Place at the Table and so many others.

Gardner and the local meteorologists for the two other major networks in the area were included on the dynamic list, hailed for being leaders and breaking barriers in science and broadcasting.

The room was full of successful, creative women but I was struck by how kind and supportive they all were, said Gardner. It was so much fun to mingle and get to meet them. Raleigh is in good hands!
