7th November 2012 IQ Modular Provides Reliable, High-Performing Infrastructure for New SMG News Centre, Shanghai Leading Chinese-Language Media Company Chooses Snell Gear in Equipment Shootout for HD News Broadcast Centre

READING, U.K. Nov. 7, 2012 Snell today announced that SMG, one of the worlds most influential Chinese-language media and entertainment groups, has built its new SMG News Centre on an IQ Modular infrastructure. The HD news broadcast centre in Shanghai will provide news content to the Oriental Satellite Channel and a local news channel. Supplied by Shanghai Kunsi Digital Limited, the Snell infrastructure equipment will support these operations primarily by performing HD/SD up/downconversion, embedding and de-embedding audio, video distribution, and synchronization of feeds from 10 connected studios and any other external sources.
