We're already a few weeks into 2022 - a new year full of hope, dreams, and hopefully great achievements. But before we look to the future, let's take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished over the last 12 months.
A year of transformation2021 was a productive and exciting year. New products and feature launches ensured Agama grew and continued to help customers create unrivaled video services.
It was also a year of renewal. Our team of managers was strengthened by the promotion of two young talents. And, we welcomed a couple of part-time colleagues in our engineering team, happy to try out and work with cutting-edge technologies in a competitive environment. We hired new people for our Services and Sales teams to better support our customers too.
Following my annual review, once again I realised how much better everything seems in retrospect and how much we have accomplished. Despite all the troubles in the world, it was a surprising 2021. We got used to the new way of working from home. We changed how our teams work together and collaborate in this new virtual environment and how we interact with our customers. Not being able to meet our prospects and customers face-to-face, we found new ways to interact with them and became more flexible in how we operate. All in all, we are now working in a more modern and efficient way and we have also found a better balance between work and private life. I am looking forward to building on these strengths, even as we return to face-to-face meetings, which I hope will be very soon! - Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama.
New products & featuresKeeping our customers happy and engaged with our tools and solutions drives all our business and product decisions. In April 2021, we had a major release for video observability and analytics, Agama 7.0. This includes lots of new features and capabilities.
Let's dive into some of the main features of this release.
The new Agama Elastic Analyzer has a fresh and flexible approach to monitoring ABR assets in cloud and container environments. In a cloud system, the Enterprise Platform now has a central licensing mechanism, which makes it very easy to dynamically set up and tear down Analyzer instances as needed.
When it comes to new applications, we introduced the OTT QoS Analytics App. This is designed to quickly create an understanding of OTT QoS metrics over time and to make it easy to compare the results over different time periods. Providing an application tailored to specific needs and configuring which metrics to use, was high on our list of priorities.
Beyond a set of useful metrics, the new Analytical Dashboard feature enables interactive dashboards to be created so that time, service types and groups can be changed for all or some of the widgets. We've enriched this feature by adding:
Individual widgets connected to the app that can be automatically updated on the fly when selections change BI like views targeted for specific use cases
Meanwhile, our engineering team developed a brand-new timeline view for ABR live, multicast, DVB and other linear services. This makes it easy to correlate QoE and conveniently predefined QoS metric sets for any combination of assets and locations.
Interactive features such as zooming, brushing, filtering, tooltips on hover, TopN sorting and more, make it fast to work with and familiar for users of CDM timelines. This view replaces the real-time, interval graphs and timeline correlation views.

Company newsLast year, we were very proud to see our company grow. Our team welcomed several permanent employees, plus some students and facilitators. We continue recruiting in various fields, such as software engineering, business development and services, amongst others.
At Agama, we consider our people the company's most valuable assets, because we are the ones that really drive our business.
Wrapping us 2021!2021 was a good year and we are thrilled with what we achieved. We have a tech-savvy, solid, high-performing team that understands our customers' challenges so that we can make magic when it comes to building amazing products.
We want to thank you, our customers, partners, and our people for everything you did to contribute to the company's success.
We look forward to a great 2022, with even more achievements and more ways for you to benefit from Agama's observability solution.
