Iron Mountain Entertainment Services will present its latest storage, archive and digitisation technologies at MIPCOM CANNES, on Stand P-1.D64 within the French Pavilion. MIPCOM CANNES takes place at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France from 17-20 October 2022.
Among the solutions on display will be Smart Vault, the hosted non-cloud digital content repository and media asset management platformthat safely stores, organises and preserves digital content exactly as it was created. Smart Vault is scalable and configurable for each organisation's unique requirements; it ensures that originals are secure offline, while digital copies are easy to access and distribute.
IMES recently provided the Smart Vault platform to Canal+ as part of an ongoing partnership with the French broadcaster to preserve its extensive archive. A three year project will see the digitisation of approximately 95,000 tapes delivered to Canal+'s standards while ensuring chain of custody of the physical assets, which remain managed, transferred and kept at IMES in France. With a dedicated technical team mandated to provide high quality, streamlined and efficient digitisation, the content will be uploaded directly to Canal+'s bespoke Smart Vault MAM system, so that each file can be reviewed, approved and utilised immediately.
