
Harris Corporation to Promote STEM Education and Showcase Innovative Technologies at Floridas Capitol TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Feb. 25, 2016 Florida-based Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) today will showcase its commitment to strengthening education in the state and its innovative Florida technologies during STEM Day at the Capitol, an event to educate lawmakers and students on the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Harris participation is part of its companywide celebration of National Engineers Week, which began Monday. At STEM Day at the Capitol, being held today at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Harris scientists and engineers will conduct interactive exhibits to enable attendees to experience technical careers first hand. Attendees will be able to design circuit boards for public safety radios, code robotic software programs and test submersible electronics. Many of the technologies on display were created by Harris 6,000 Florida-based employees or are used by Florida government and commercial customers. STEM Day at the Capitol provides an opportunity to educate attendees on the importance of education, which shines a light on the important contributions scientists and engineers make every day, said William M.
