Audionamix Contributes Sound Separation Services to Verve Remixed: the First Ladies from Verve Music Group

Audionamix, the industry's leading sound separation specialists and developers of the revolutionary ADX Technology, contributed audio isolation services to Verve Music Group for their latest release, Verve Remixed: The First Ladies. The album, now available in stores and on iTunes, was produced by Dahlia Ambach Caplin and Todd Roberts.

Audionamix's solutions empowered the mixing talent on Verve Remixed: The First Ladies by providing isolated vocals and their corresponding instrumental residuals from original mono master recordings of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holliday and Dinah Washington, to name a few. These elements allowed the DJs of 10 tracks to remix with complete creative freedom. Verve Remixed: The First Ladies features RAC's remix of To Darn Hot and Pretty Lights' take on I Put a Spell on You. Other DJs who contributed their talent include Maya Jane Coles, C2C, Pontus Winnberg of Miike Snow, Flume's Jackin House, Toro Y Moi, Azari & III, and DJ Carnage & Victor Niglio.

Ambach Caplin comments, One of the big obstacles we always had in producing the Verve Remixed series was the lack of multi tracks. This time around, thanks to Audionamix, we were able to give some of todays best producers and DJs extracted vocals and instrumentals. Audionamix and Verve Music Group previously collaborated on several recent releases including isolating Fitzgeralds voice from the instruments on her 1956 recording of What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? which provided producer Jay Landers with a clean a cappella version of the song for a virtual duet with Rod Stewart. The song was featured on his 2012 album Merry Christmas Baby.

For Barbra Streisand's unreleased titles album Release Me, Audionamix worked again with Landers to separate instrumental bleed on the 1973 original recording of Mother And Child. Using their technology and expertise, Audionamix was able to preserve Michel Legrands arrangements, orchestration and performance after 39 years in the archives. The track was re-mixed, mastered and released as part of Streisand's top-selling 32nd album.

Another vocal isolation was performed on Edith Piaf's legendary La Vie En Rose for Andre Bocelli's January 2013 album Passione. And for Natalie Cole en Espa ol (from Verve/Universal), Audionamix provided isolated elements for the multiple Grammy Award-winner to perform another virtual duet with her father Nat King Cole on Ac rcate M s ( Come Closer to Me ).
