The SVG Summit (December 16-17, New York City) is less than two months away and the event's agenda is shaping up to be an exciting one.
The always-popular Day 2 General Sessions on the event's main stage will be highlighted by a special look back at the Paris Olympic games with NBC Sports, as well as discussions on the state of the remote production facilities business, a look at how technology is impacting the viewing experience, and a look at the industry from the perspective of both national networks and regional networks.
NBC Olympics Paris Spotlight The Paris Olympics were a big hit with viewers around the globe this past summer. In the U.S., NBC Sports delivered on broadcast innovation in behind-the-scenes workflows and in streaming distribution. What was the experience like and what were the big industry takeaways from it?

The Historical Impact of the Munich Massacre Those with an appreciation for the history of industry will surely want to sit in on a session looking back at The Munich Massacre and how behind-the-scenes crews turn on a dime when a sporting event becomes a news event.
On September 5, 1972 the sports broadcasting world was changed forever, as the storied team at ABC Sports found themselves at the center of an unimaginable world tragedy, which unfolded only yards away from their German Broadcast Center. Now the basis of a motion picture, September 5, SVG will honor this live merger of news and sports with a look-back at that event and the people who helped viewers around the world follow the hostage crisis.
Former ABC Sports Executive Producer Geoff Mason and Retired Chairman of CBS Sports Sean McManus will discuss the lessons learned and the leadership skills required to navigate such a challenge moment and hopefully help your operations teams mentally prepare for the moment when sports becomes news.
That and So Much More! Day 2 will also offer up discussions on critical topics such as Technology and the Future of Fandom, as well as allow key executives from major national sports networks and regional sports networks to offer their viewpoint on the states of their respective segments of the business.
