Schaeffler bietet eine Vielzahl von Schl ssel-Technologien f r die Reduzierung von Kraftstoffverbrauch und Schadstoffemissionen sowie die Verbesserung der Energieeffizienz von Automobilen. Viele dieser einzelnen L sungen entfalten ihr volles Potenzial im systemischen Zusammenspiel. Dies verdeutlicht Schaeffler einmal mehr mit dem aktuellen Demonstratorfahrzeug Efficient Future Mobility North America.
Die Basis dieses Technologietr gers bildet ein aktuelles Modell eines in Nordamerika beliebten Mid-Size-SUV, welches ber ein Automatikgetriebe mit Drehmomentwandler verf gt. Die gezeigten L sungen ber cksichtigen die marktspezifischen Anforderungen und Kundenw nsche in Nordamerika , erl utert Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Vorstand Forschung und Entwicklung der Schaeffler AG. Durch den Einsatz und die Optimierung verschiedener Schaeffler Technologien sowie durch akribische Detailarbeit verf gt das Fahrzeug ber einen um 15 Prozent geringeren Kraftstoffverbrauch und emittiert dementsprechend weniger CO2. Diese im Vorfeld mit Schaeffler Berechnungsprogrammen simulierten Werte sind in umfangreichen Messungen und Testzyklen durch die Schaeffler Experten in Nordamerika verifiziert und durch ein unabh ngiges Testinstitut zertifiziert. Beachtlich ist dabei, dass die im Demonstratorfahrzeug zum Einsatz kommenden Schaeffler Technologien Automobilen dieser Kategorie ein Erreichen der CAFE-Grenzwerte 2020 ohne zus tzliche Elektrifizierung des Antriebsstrangs erm glichen. CAFE steht f r Corporate Average Fuel Economy und legt die mit Blickrichtung 2020 und 2025 auch in Nordamerika zunehmend restriktiveren gesetzlichen Flottenverbrauchs- Vorschriften fest.
Im Konzeptfahrzeug kommen dabei Schaeffler Systeme wie ein Thermomanagement- Modul und eine Allradantrieb-Trennkupplung (AWD-Trennkupplung) zum Einsatz. Ebenso mit an Bord sind Schaeffler Innovationen f r Motor-Start-Stopp-Systeme wie der Permanent Eingespurte Startergenerator mit Schlingbandfreilauf und ein Druckspeicherventil, durch das sich die Dauer des Fahrens mit abgeschaltetem Motor verl ngern l sst, ohne auf energiezehrende Pumpen zur ckgreifen zu m ssen. Auch die reibungsoptimierende Feinarbeit im Riemen- und Ventiltrieb sowie bei den Ausgleichswellen und die Optimierung des Drehmomentwandlers leisten entscheidende Beitr ge zum eindrucksvollen Gesamtergebnis.
Die immer noch signifikanten Potenziale im Antriebsstrang f r die CO2-Reduktion zeigen sich in Produkten wie der neuen Allradantrieb-Trennkupplung, die je nach Fahrsituation die nicht genutzte Antriebsachse vom Triebstrang entkoppelt und so - beispielsweise auf dem Highway - einen Ersparnis-Beitrag von bis zu sechs Prozent liefert. Im Stadtverkehr spielt hingegen der mit einem Schlingbandfreilauf versehene Permanent Eingespurte Startergenerator seine St rken aus. Neben einem deutlichen Komfortplus in sogenannten Change-of-Mind-Situationen - wenn der Motor eigentlich bereits abgestellt ist und der Autofahrer doch noch schnell weiterfahren m chte - kann dieses Motor-Start-Stopp-Bauteil den Verbrauch im Stadtverkehr um bis zu sechs Prozent senken. Ein weiterer Prozentpunkt weniger Verbrauch l sst sich durch die Integration eines Thermomanagement-Moduls gewinnen: Dies erm glicht das schnellstm gliche Erreichen der optimalen Motor- Betriebstemperatur sowie eine pr zise Steuerung des W rmehaushalts, auch f r weitere Aggregate wie das Getriebe oder Hybrid-Elemente.
Das in Nordamerika aufgebaute Schaeffler Demonstratorfahrzeug zeigt, wie mittels kosteng nstiger serienreifer Technologie k nftige CAFE-Anforderungen erf llt werden k nnen. Die CAFE-Werte f r das Jahr 2020 lassen sich so auch bei einem Fahrzeug dieser Gr e bereits durch die Optimierung des verbrennungsmotorischen Antriebsstrangs erreichen , erkl rt Jeff Hemphill, Vice President und Chief Technical Officer bei Schaeffler Nordamerika. Aber mit Blick auf unsere Ideen zur Elektrifizierung des Antriebsstrangs ist Schaeffler auch daf r ger stet, der Automobilindustrie Antworten auf die Anforderungen f r das Jahr 2025 zu bieten.
