Mariah Carey is without a doubt a Christmas queen since the release of her Christmas album Merry Christmas in 1994 and this Christmas the Holy Night singer brought out her daughter Monroe to duet with her at Toronto's Scotiabank arena on Friday 9 December.

According to Billboard, the family-friendly Merry Christmas to All! concert was Carey's first live concert since the pandemic. It consisted of two nights in Toronto and two nights in New York.

This is Carey's and Monroe's first duet and the singer says they have been working on the song for a minute, their harmony was beautiful with Monroe's melisma in tune with Carey's.

Eleven years ago, I got the greatest gift. You know what, I don't have birthdays, but the birthing day was the greatest gift ever, when I had my twins Roc and Roe, and once again I'd like to introduce you to my daughter, Monroe, said Carey introducing her 11-year-old daughter, Monroe.

On an upper range whistle register Carey started the song with Monroe not showing any nervous non-verbal cues, and the audience of 13000 people were impressed and roared with approval when Monroe started with the lyrics smoothly proving that she is cut from the same tulle cloth as her mom.

The set list comprised of Christmas songs, including the highly anticipated finale of her returning Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper All I Want for Christmas Is You, a diamond certified hit.

The Christmas most-beloved anthem jingled from No 5 to No 1 with 64.5 million streams dating 25 November to 1 December.
