Following a two-year hiatus, Comic Con Africa is set to take place between 22 and 25 September. This year, a few US actors including 13 Reasons Why star Ross Butler, are set to be a part of the exciting gaming festival. There are also a few new additions including StreetCon and a tattoo alley.

COMIC CON AFRICA RETURNS Comic Con Africa has moved to the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec to accommodate more than 80 000 festival goers. The gaming festival has also added a new element called StreetCon, which will showcase the latest streetwear and accessories.

StreenCon will be a space where creators and curators will meet up to celebrate urban culture and where streetwear and pop culture enthusiasts can gather to shop culture enthusiasts can gather to shop new drops, exchange artistic expression, as well as shop for the latest in merch, accessories and art, said Comic Con Africa's director, Carla Massmann.

This year, there will also be the first-ever street artist alley, a tattoo alley and the much-loved food truck village.

HOLLYWOOD A-LISTERS ARE MAKING THEIR WAY TO MZANSI Hollywood actress Tati Gabrielle, best known for her roles in Uncharted, You, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The 100, is set to make an appearance at Comic Con Africa later this month. Other guests set to feature at Comic Con Africa include US actor Selwyn Ward and international cosplayers, Elizabeth Rage, Taryn Cosplay and Leon Chiro.

Ross Butler, who plates Zach Dempsey in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and Jamie Campbell Bower will also jet down to Mzansi for Comic Con Africa.

Netflix's hit television series, Stranger Things, will be one of the many exhibitions on show at the gaming festival.
