El director general de Industrias Culturales y del Libro, scar S enz de Santa Mar a ha inaugurado este viernes la I Mesa del Videojuego de la Administraci n General del Estado, las Comunidades Aut nomas y los principales agentes del sector. Se trata de una mesa de trabajo de car cter permanente, creada por la Conferencia Sectorial de Cultura, para debatir la situaci n actual y los retos a los que se enfrenta el sector del videojuego y establecer un clima de colaboraci n y di logo continuo.
Con la creaci n de esta mesa de trabajo se cumple una de las iniciativas del Plan Cultura 2020, estrategia cultural del Gobierno para la presente Legislatura.
La reuni n ha abordado tres grandes bloques tem ticos: el an lisis de los retos del sector del videojuego espa ol en el contexto internacional y el entorno fiscal en la Uni n Europea; las deficiencias y oportunidades de la formaci n de profesionales en el sector de los videojuegos; y la presentaci n de algunos de los distintos programas de apoyo al sector que existen en Espa a.
Igualmente, se ha acordado la elaboraci n de un Plan espec fico de desarrollo de la creaci n y producci n del videojuego en Espa a que tratar la fiscalidad del sector, y la formaci n y condiciones de sus trabajadores. El objetivo es situar al sector espa ol en una posici n de competitividad, impulsar su densidad, hacer sostenibles las empresas ya creadas y poder atraer capital nacional e internacional.
Adem s de la Secretar a de Estado de Cultura y las Comunidades Aut nomas, forman parte de la Mesa representantes de rganos de la Administraci n General del Estado con competencias en la materia (Ministerios de Energ a, Turismo y Agenda Digital; de Hacienda y Funci n P blica; y de Econom a y Competitividad; ICEX y ENISA), as como representantes de las principales asociaciones del sector del videojuego en Espa a (DEV, Asociaci n Espa ola de Empresas Desarrolladoras de Videojuegos; AEVI, Asociaci n Espa ola de Videojuegos; y DEVICAT, Asociaci n Catalana de Desenvolupador de Jocs).
El videojuego en Espa a: un sector estrat gicoSeg n el Libro Blanco de desarrollo espa ol de videojuegos, promovido por DEV, el sector del videojuego en Espa a factur un total de 1.163 millones de euros en 2016, un 7,4% m s que en 2015, y cuenta con aproximadamente 23,9 millones de jugadores, consolid ndose as como el cuarto mercado a nivel europeo y como la primera opci n de ocio audiovisual en nuestro pa s.
Adem s, es un sector de importancia estrat gica como motor de la econom a digital, que cuenta con gran potencial de crecimiento e innovaci n y las mejores expectativas de futuro de entre todos los sectores que conforman la industria de los contenidos digitales en Espa a.
