ABC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP ANNOUNCES KEY PROMOTIONS

Burbank, CA, July 17, 2013... ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee today announced the promotions of Channing Dungey, Samie Falvey and Patrick Moran, each to Executive Vice President.

Samie, Patrick and Channing are talented, risk-taking storytellers, as well as trusted executives, with strong relationships throughout the creative community, Lee said. Their innate understanding of how to nurture franchises while developing new hits will provide the foundation for our continued success. Additionally, these moves further empower our creative leadership and ensure the vibrancy of the network and studio in the future.

Patrick Moran, formerly Senior Vice President of Development at ABC Studios, becomes Executive Vice President, ABC Studios, and will run ABC Studios, with all creative and production operations reporting to him. While at ABC Studios, Mr. Moran and his team have recruited high profile companies such as Fake Empire (Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage) and have continued to oversee development deals in place with Shondaland (Shonda Rhimes), the Mark Gordon Company, Mandeville, Anthony Zuiker and other prominent creative talent. Mr. Morans development slate has included hit series Once Upon a Time, Revenge and Nashville.

Additionally, Barry Jossen, formerly Executive Vice President, ABC Studios, will resume his career as an award-winning producer with a production deal at ABC Studios.

We thank Barry for the amazing work hes done in helping build the strength of the studio and look forward to working with him as an Academy Award winning producer on our lot, said Lee.

Jossen added, During the course of the past year, I have given a lot of thought about what I want to do next due to televisions changing landscape. For me, it seemed best to get out of the day-to-day operational work of overseeing ABC Studios. I plan to return to producing and am considering a number of other oppportunities that have come my way. I love my colleagues at ABC Studios and have been quietly preparing them for success as they transition into their new positions.

Channing Dungey, who was Senior Vice President, Drama Development, adds movies and miniseries to her purview as Executive Vice President. Ms. Dungeys knack for developing and fostering outstanding creative has been apparent since she came to ABC Studios in 2009. Her accomplisments include the development and acquisition of such television hits as Lost, Desperate Housewives and Greys Anatomy. More recently Ms. Dungey has developed and launched Scandal, Revenge and Once Upon a Time.

Samie Falvey, formerly Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, becomes Executive Vice President and adds international scripted development to her comedy responsibilities, maximizing ABCs access to global talent and intellectual property. Since her arrival at ABC in 2006, Ms. Falvey and her team have developed and launched an all-new ABC Wednesday comedy block, with Emmy Award-winning Best Comedy Series Modern Family, as well as The Middle.
