Dolby announces first Dolby Atmos post-production facility in France

En Solitaire first French feature film to be mixed with Dolby Atmos sound Cannes, May 13, 2013-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) today announced that Paris-based post-production facility Ink Production studio has become the first French facility to be fitted with Dolby Atmos. Starting in June 2013, En Solitaire, directed by Christophe Offenstein and produced by Gaumont / Les Films du Cap will be the first French feature film mixed in Dolby Atmos at Ink Production.

Since it was launched a year ago, the industry response to Dolby Atmos has been incredibly positive, and its fast becoming the preferred choice for next-generation sound in the cinema across the globe, said Julian Pinn, Director, Cinema Marketing, Dolby Laboratories. Scheduled for release in France in November 2013, En Solitaire tells the story of ambitious skipper Yann who sees his dream come true when he joins the round-the-world yacht race Vend e Globe at the last minute. Nine days into the race and leading, Yann is forced to stop on the Canary Islands to repair his broken rudder. As he sails off, he discovers a stowaway on board - Mano, a teenager from Mauritania. Their encounter leads to the most unforgettable round-the-world race ever.
