ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 13, 2015 Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has received a $15 million order to expand applications for wideband tactical networking for the U.S. Marine Corps. Harris will provide Falcon III vehicular radio systems and accessories to the U.S. Marine Corps AN/MRC-145 program. The system is based on the combat-proven Falcon III AN/PRC-117G, a software upgradeable manpack radio that delivers tactical Internet capability to the battlefield and allows users to communicate by voice, video and data for enhanced command and control and situational awareness. This order represents a strategic investment that will enable the Marine Corps to keep pace with rapidly changing technology, said George Helm, president, Department of Defense business, Harris RF Communications.
