R open days with Cartec and Unity

SSR open days with Cartec and Unity Product demos in London and Manchester SSR London & Manchester will be hosting an open day event with Cartec Audio and Unity Audio.

Liam Carter from Cartec Audio will be talking about his innovative products and youll be able to hear them and test them out yourselves on a mix in one of SSRs flagship control rooms.

Cartec T.H.C. Compressor This will be the first UK showing of Cartecs monster stereo valve compressor, the T.H.C (Tone Harmonic- Compression). This is an amazing compressor in its own right but coupled with some cool features like a separate LF/HF eq section, and a harmonic distortion section as well as parallel processing, side chain filters and M/S processing. Its no surprise its tipped to be a hot product as Audio Media magazine has already awarded it Gear Of The Year.

Cartec Compere 500 The new Cartec Compere 500 series rack will also be showcased at the event along with existing products Pre-Q5 500 pre-amp, Fe-Q5 500 EQ, EQP-1A mono valve Pultec EQ and the EQ-PRE-2A stereo solid state mic/line pre with Pultec EQ.

Unity Audio Rock and Boulder studio monitors The event will also feature the Rock two way and Boulder 3 way active studio monitors from Unity Audio. Both models share the same custom modular E.A.R Class A/B amplifier and sealed cabinet for fast and accurate bass and transient reproduction and uses 6.5 woofers along with 50kHz ribbon tweeters.

Queens of the Stone Age new forthcoming album has been recorded and mixed recently on Rocks and Boulders. The new 12 active sub-woofer, The Avalanche will also be running too.

The events will be drop-in style, meaning guests can arrive anytime that suits them between the hours shown on the SSR web sites
