Zeta Studios adaptar Garc a!' para HBO Max Espa a La novela gr fica Garc a! llegar a la plataforma HBO Max Espa a en 2022. Esta serie de seis episodios ser producida por Zeta Studios para WarnerMedia. Sara Antu a y Carlos de Pando son los creadores y guionistas de la serie, basada en la obra de Santiago Garc a y Luis Bustos publicada por Astiberri Ediciones. Eugenio Mira (Grand Piano) dirigir los seis episodios, que tendr n una hora de duraci n.
Miguel Salvat, Steve Matthews y Antony Root son los productores ejecutivos de la serie. Los Max Originals encargados en Europa est n producidos por la divisi n WarnerMedia Original Programming liderada por Antony Root. Los servicios de producci n corren a cargo de Garc a La Serie, una compa a subsidiaria de Zeta Studios, para WarnerMedia.
Un franquista criogenizado Ambientada en una hipot tica Espa a actual, en un pa s dividido y al borde del caos pol tico, la serie est protagonizada por Antonia (Veki Velilla), una joven periodista de investigaci n que tropieza por casualidad con una conspiraci n urdida hace d cadas: la existencia de un superagente criogenizado, Garc a (Francisco Ortiz), creado en un laboratorio en los a os 50 por los servicios secretos del general Franco.
Este soldado perfecto con una fuerza sobre humana y programado para obedecer rdenes sin cuestionarlas ser despertado por Antonia. Al salir de su letargo, Garc a se siente desorientado y confuso en una Espa a que encuentra completamente cambiada. HBO contin a detallando el argumento de la serie: El viejo mundo choca con el actual mientras Garc a y Antonia aprender a trabajar juntos al verse involucrados en una conspiraci n pol tica que amenaza con acabar con la democracia en favor de una nueva y brutal dictadura .
Adem s de Francisco Ortiz y Veki Velilla, el reparto tambi n cuenta con actores como Emilio Guti rrez Caba, Francisco Reyes, Daniel Freire, Nico Romero, Helio Pedregal, Mario Pardo, Miki Molina, Marina Gatell, Pepe Ocio y Silvia Abascal.
Proyecto ambicioso Antonio Asensio, presidente de Zeta Estudio, considera a Garc a! una las grandes apuestas de la productora: Este es un proyecto muy ambicioso que supone un importante reto a nivel de producci n y que nos hace una gran ilusi n comenzar a hacer realidad. Estamos seguros de que hacerlo junto a HBO, una de las compa as m s importantes y de referencia en el sector, supondr el inicio de una fruct fera etapa de colaboraci n juntos .
Por su parte, el productor ejectuvio Miguel Salvat ha a adido: Garc a! es un proyecto con una enorme ambici n narrativa y visual. Est dise ado hasta el m nimo detalle para ser una serie divertida, llena de acci n y aventuras, respetando a veces la tradici n del g nero y revent ndola otras. Con Garc a! vamos a disfrutar de una historia llena de sorpresas en la que veremos que en nuestro pa s han cambiado muchas cosas a lo largo de las d cadas, pero otras no se han movido en absoluto .
El director Eugenio Mira comparte el entusiasmo de sus compa eros: Cuando le el primer episodio de Garc a!, disfrut much simo al identificar en sus ingredientes tantos elementos que siempre me han gustado, pero fue la frescura que emanaba la combinaci n de los referentes y la sensaci n de no haber le do algo as antes lo que me conquist por completo. Poder jugar con un material tan original, con un universo tan rico y unos personajes que nunca dejan de crecer mientras intentan darle sentido a los constantes giros y revelaciones que encierra la trama, es un gran reto t cnico y art stico.
