Wowza Media Systems to Present at Streaming Media East Session to Showcase End-to-End Workflows, Newest Wowza Functionality, and Emerging Technologies

EVERGREEN, Colo. May 14, 2013 Wowza Media Systems, LLC, provider of Simply Powerful Streaming media server software, announced today that Vice President of Product Management Chris Knowlton will present a seminar titled, Wowza Media Server and End-to-End Workflows, at the 2013 Streaming Media East conference. The seminar will take place at 1:30 p.m. on May 20 at the Hilton New York.

During the session, Knowlton will discuss how users can build and simplify end-to-end deployment workflows using Wowza unified streaming media server software. He will introduce the newest Wowza functionality, discuss how Wowza enables media delivery in the cloud, and compare Wowza against other media delivery options. Knowlton will also address the impact of emerging technologies such as MPEG-DASH, H.265 and HTML5, and how to future-proof streaming media deployments.

The proliferation of the cloud and the diversification of mobile devices create unique challenges for media streaming, says Knowlton. The seminar will provide attendees the opportunity to learn how Wowza can help them stay ahead of the competition while keeping pace with ever-changing innovations in media deployment.

Named a Streaming Media Magazine 2011 Streaming Media All-Star for his customer passion and contributions to the industry, Knowlton has more than 22 years of engineering and product management experience. Before joining Wowza, he spent ten years at Microsoft, planning and executing its on-premises and cloud media server product roadmaps, founded the IIS Media team, and led cross-divisional and partner efforts to build the Microsoft Media Platform ecosystem. Today, Knowlton drives the product roadmap for Wowza, focusing on the continued creation of innovative technologies that advance streaming media for customers worldwide.
