Bunim Murray Productions and Sou Korea s Signal Entertainment Group announce joint development deal

Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP), a Banijay Group Company and producers of The Real World, Project Runway and Keeping Up with the Kardashians franchises, and Signal Entertainment Group, a South Korean-based entertainment-focused media company, today announced a joint development deal. BMP will expand its reach into the burgeoning Asian market and develop new formats with Signal. Jeff Jenkins, Co-President of Entertainment and Development at BMP and Agnes Lee and David M. Uslan, SVP of Production at Uslan Entertainment will oversee the partnership on behalf of Signal.

South Korea is currently one of the hottest markets for new formats and creativity, so when we were approached about a partnership with Signal for the Asian region, we recognized the great potential of such a deal, said Bunim/Murray Productions Chairman and CEO Gil Goldschein. Signal is a creative and production powerhouse run by extremely talented CEO Michael Kim who knows the global media space extremely well. I am excited about the opportunity to share our formats that can travel to South Korea and China as well as the chance to bring local South Korean formats to the US market.

Signal Entertainment Group will handle distribution of new formats coming out of the co-development deal for the South Korean, Hong Kong and Chinese markets. Banijay Rights will handle worldwide distribution for new formats outside of those territories and continue to manage global distribution for existing BMP formats.
